Amazon ads for books: a beginner’s guide that won’t waste your budget
THE SHORT ANSWER
Start Amazon ads for books with a small daily budget, a sponsored products campaign, and a short list of exact reader phrases and similar books. Check results weekly, stop keywords that get clicks but no sales, and only spend more once the book page converts well.
Get the book page ready first
Ads bring visitors; the book page turns them into buyers. Fix the cover, description and reviews before you spend.
Start small and specific
Pick a small daily budget and 20 to 40 specific reader phrases or similar book titles. Broad words get expensive clicks from the wrong readers.
Check weekly
Look at which keywords get clicks and sales. Pause ones that spend without selling. Give new ones at least a couple of weeks.
Know when to stop
If many people click but few buy, the problem is usually the book page, not the ad.
